Photo of the Week – March 16, 2011 – Green Risotto
This photo proves that sometimes it’s all about the presentation. The girls and I ate this before Joe came home and we were all unimpressed (they didn’t like it at all). Then I arranged Joe’s plate for him as you see here. He thought it was great. At least the food was a good material for my artistic impulses.

Got something to say?

I love risotto and asparagus, plain or fancy. Would the girls have appreciated the presentation and liked the food better had you arranged their plates like Joe’s??
No they wouldn’t have liked it better. It’s always about the texture, and they’re really not fond of the texture of risotto. I wasn’t crazy about this one either. It was a bland recipe, and kind of mushy because it was a recipe for oven cooking it instead of stovetop, and it lost its bite.
I like risotto and I like asparagus but I don’t ever recall having them together let alone having the asparagus trying to touch the sky.
How can you complain when someone places a plate of food in front of you that you did not have to prepare?
Someday those girls will get that message.
