Need More Tomatoes
That tomato you see in this picture was very good. I purchased it at Whole Foods, but it came from the farm that I had a CSA subscription with last summer. Three of us actually raced to see who could grab more of those slices during dinner last night. Lucky for us, Annie didn’t participate in the competition.
The tomatoes were very tasty this summer, I suppose because of the heat. But because of the heat we didn’t get nearly the crop we had expected, and neither did my dad who usually supplies us with our annual tomato fix. So, I need more tomatoes.
I also need more summer corn. I need more peaches. I need more strawberries. I need more blueberries. Why is the season of fresh local produce so short? Why is it already Labor Day weekend? Oh why is summer over so soon? Sigh.

Got something to say?

Just think how flavorful the fall harvests will be.
You cannot compare an apple to a peach, a pumpkin to a tomato, a potato to an ear of corn – well, maybe yes to the last one.
