Joe insisted I make this the Photo of the Week. He’s so proud. Now I need to figure out what to do with the hot peppers.

I think a homemade hot pepper sauce is in order with a touch of fresh horseradish.

But we didn’t grow horseradish even though it’s such a useful condiment.

Give your peppers a little time to dry (or dry quickly in your oven), then either string them to admire every day until needed, or crush all at once and jar. If you string while they’re fresh they sometimes tear off the string so I dry them first. I have a hot pepper ornamental I’m planning on harvesting this fall and stringing. Never waste a home grown hot pepper!

    Hot pepper salsa?

Good suggestion since I can’t use them as quickly as he grows them!

Hmmm, hot pepper salsa, we’ll have to see how hot, hot is. Haven’t tasted them yet, so don’t know if they’re comfortable hot, or fire alarm hot. Good idea if they’re on the milder side.

All excellent suggestions. We should use them all!!

Got something to say?
