Photo of the Week – 6/16/10 – Greek Salad with Chicken

I ordered this salad when we went to dinner at Annie’s chosen restaurant, Champps, over the weekend. It was good for two reasons. First, any time I don’t have to put out the effort required to make a salad it’s a good thing. Second, it was one of the least guilty things I could choose from the menu, at only 440 calories for the whole salad. I mean, if the food I’m eating transports my soul I’m happy to consume 1500 calories without blinking an eye. However, a 1500 calorie California turkey wrap just isn’t worth it, and neither are most of the calorie loaded items on the menu. I’m just glad I checked the nutrition facts before leaving home.

How do you feel about a picture that transports your soul? There are no calories in a picture.

Yes, but it doesn’t fill the belly at all, does it?

Got something to say?
